I’m writing a book!
Some of you may have seen my recent post or received emails from me, but in case you haven’t, I’m writing a book!
The book is about questions, titled “Question to Learn” and I’d love for you to subscribe to my newsletter where I’ll be sharing more details and early snippets of the book. I’ll still be publishing articles on LinkedIn, but the sign up below will give you an inside look into the book.

The basic premise of the book is that nearly everyone thinks or believes they are asking questions effectively. I did. In fact, many teams and even companies are built upon the premise that questions alone are the secret to success.
But based on my research and experience, I believe the true power of questions lies in the motives behind them. Effective questions can be boiled down to one, simple motive — to learn.
Questions evolved in all of us from curious toddlers, to observant teenagers, to introspective young adults to working adults. I get into all of those phases, but primarily focus on what I’ve seen happen when we enter the working world. It’s a trend I’ve observed in many companies throughout my career — a slow degradation of pure motives behind questions.
I’ve seen questions to learn get replaced with questions that have other motives, such as showing off someone’s own knowledge, exposing someone else’s lack of knowledge or just to check the box of having spoken up in a meeting.
My book addresses these situations and offers tools and strategies to get back to questions to learn and the power behind them.
I and many others had the skill of questioning to learn at one point or another in our lives. I let that skill fall dormant for years. Once I reawakened it, I saw my career and life in a totally new way, full of possibilities. That is what I want for you.
If you’re curious to learn more, I’d love to share it with you.
